Heart Attack! Blindness! Amputation! What do they all have in common?

 

What do heart attacks, blindness, and amputations all have in common? They are all part of having diabetes. Diabetes is high insulin resistance.

Type 2 diabetes is one of the leading causes of heart attacks, strokes, Alzheimer's, and cancer. Not to mention a common thread is obesity.

In my video I go through what insulin resistance is and more importantly, how to understand it and to reverse it.

Insulin resistance is basically where insulin cannot do its function of lowering blood sugars and burning fat. Insulin resistance causes all of those problems listed above because insulin in high levels in the blood destroys the lining of blood vessels. When the heart muscle has ruined blood vessels, can lead to heart attacks. The same is true with your eyesight. Insulin destroys the blood vessels in your eyeballs thus causing them to go blind. The same is true of amputations. The blood vessels in the lower extremities become severely damaged because of high levels of insulin thus destroying the ability of the body to move blood, nutrients, and oxygen to the muscles. Those muscles die and thus the leg has to be amputated.

Insulin resistance is reversed in systematically the same way it was created; through diet and lifestyle. When we consume too many of the wrong kind of carbohydrates in too high amounts. The muscles and liver that store glucose become saturated and unable to retain anymore blood sugar. When these unhealthy levels of blood sugar rise in the body, more and more insulin is released in the attempt to move that excess blood sugar back into the muscle. This excess insulin then causes the destruction of blood vessels. By consuming the right kinds of foods will lower blood sugar levels to safe levels thus allowing insulin to work and become insulin sensitive. When insulin works correctly, not only is blood sugar utilized correctly, but fat can now be utilized as fuel and thus a person can obtain healthy weight loss.
