What Diet Method is Best?

 

Most people who diet only do calorie restriction (CR). and believe all calories are created equal. In this study compared Isagenix shakes and cleansing/intermittent fasting support nutrition and protein pacing with calorie restriction (IF-P) against a CR diet.

Over an 8-week comparison, our combined strategy (IF-P) far outperformed a CR diet.

IF-P
Protein pacing consuming 4 to 5 protein meals per day for 5-6 days, and one 36 hour to 60 hour fast per week. 

CR

Consuming 154 calories less per day with the macros listed below. No protein pacing or intermittent fasting. 

Daily activity

Both groups performed activities that used 350 calories per day.

Noted Results

Weight loss was 7 pounds greater while consuming 154 more calories a day. The IF-P group was less hungry by a magnitude of 17 times than the CR group. Food cravings on a diet is one of the leading causes of termination.
